What is "国产黑料 on the Camino?"
Explore a semester-long international studies program along with 10-12 fellow students
and a faculty member. Travel the long-distance walk along one of the oldest and most
beloved pilgrimage routes in the world: the Camino de Santiago. The Camino is a sacred
path dating back to ancient Celtic, Roman and Medieval times, and is walked today
by thousands of people annually.
As you journey along this pilgrimage, you will travel between 5-15 miles a day on
foot while carrying a backpack. You will stay in hostels, country inns, and monasteries
throughout the trip, which runs from late-August through mid-November. This unforgettable
adventure will engage you in active learning and challenge you to grow on many levels鈥攊ntellectually,
physically and spiritually.
Your regular housing and food fees will be applied to lodging and meals while on the
Camino. In addition to regular tuition, you will be charged a study abroad fee , which
covers all travel expenses (air, train, bus, shuttles), and insurance while abroad.
All financial aid (federal, state, private and 国产黑料 aid) that
you are ordinarily eligible for, also applies to the Camino Study Abroad Program.
You will earn between 12-15 credits.

The Council on International Education Exchange (CIEE) offers immersive, location-based learning opportunities in more than 40 countries and 60 cities around the world, spanning more cultures, locations, and disciplines than any other study abroad organization. No matter where your academic and professional goals or wanderlust take you, you鈥檒l discover a CIEE program that鈥檚 right for you. Franklin 国产黑料鈥檚 affiliation with CIEE allows students to partake in CIEE鈥檚 study abroad programs and receive Franklin 国产黑料 credit for courses taken through CIEE. .
Short-term, faculty-led tours
Explore the world by going on one of our short-term, faculty led tours. FPU has partnered with EF, Education First, a world leader in international education. These tours run following the end of the Spring semester and generally last about 10 days. Students, along with an FPU Faculty member, travel abroad on a topic/themed experience. The number of trips and travel destinations do vary from year to year.
Summer 2026
鈥淓ducation in Finland and Sweden" from May 16-May 23, 2026.
Travelling with Associate Professor of Education and Director of the School of Education, Dr.Joan Swanson, this program is designed to inspire empathy, hone competencies, and foster global citizenship. You鈥檒l learn about educational systems in Finland and Sweden while living like a local, reimagine the future as you walk through history, and find your passions by following your curiosities. The trip departs from Boston, MA with an overnight flight to Helsinki, Finland. You'll spend 5 days in Helsinki exploring local sites, participating in a Finnish education workshop, visiting local schools and libraries. You'll take a night ferry to Stockholm, Sweden where you'll tour local historical sites, visit a local school and visit the Nobel Prize Museum.
鈥淭he History of Psychology in Europe" from May 10-May 20, 2026.
Travelling with Assistant Professor of Psychology, Dr. Lara Ingram, and Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice, Dr. Leonard Crossman, explore the origins of psychology in Europe and investigate the sensational role that Freud played in the late 19th century. An Austrian native and graduate of the esteemed University of Vienna, Freud's groundbreaking ideas around psychoanalysis were most influential in London. A short stroll through Freud's home reveals how he and the likes of Carl Jung changed the face of the doctor-patient relationship. The trips departs from Boston, MA with an overnight flight to Vienna, Austria where you'll spend 4 days exploring the city and visiting Sch枚nbrunn Palace, an elegant palace with beautifully landscapes gardens where Marie Antoinette spent her childhood, the Viktor Frankl Institute Museum, dedicated to the neurologist and psychiatrist who founded logotherapy, and the Leopold Museum, home to modern Austrian art created by artists like Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele. You'll also have a guided learning experience at the Sigmund Freud Museum which tells the story of Freud鈥檚 life along with the history of psychoanalysis. On day 5 you'll fly to London and take a walking tour visiting The Strand, Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square, Covent Gardens and more. On day 6 you'll have guided tour of London, including a visit to the London Science Museum. On Day 7 you'll travel to Kent and Beckenham to visit Down House, the family home of Charles Darwin and have a guided tour of Bethlehem Royal Hospital Archives and Museum, the first institution for mental health in the history of Europe. On day 8 you'll have a guided tour of the Freud Museum (converted from Freud's home) and have time for some independent exploration of London. On Day 9 you'll fly to Zurich, Switzerland, the birthplace of modern psychology, where Carl Jung developed his groundbreaking theories. Your'll tour Zurich and visit the Carl Jun House Musseum. On day 10 you can stay in Zurich and continue your exploration or add on a trip into the Swiss Alps. That evening, all will enjoy dinner in Zurich with a local psychiatrist. On day 11, you'll depart for home.
